Congratulations, you have made it
to the final module in this course. Upon completion of this module, you will have completed
the capstone project course. In this module, you will recap the most
important topics from previous modules and prepare for the final self review and
peer review of the built application. In the first module, you learned how to properly set
up an XCode project from scratch. This is a crucial point in iOS development
since every project needs to be correctly set up for it to be able to grow and
develop in the future. After successfully setting up the XCode
project, you proceeded with Git integration so you could share your
work with other developers but also simultaneously work on
this project with more people. You developed an application of your
own but in real life situations, you will most likely develop
apps with other developers, therefore, understanding and
knowing how to use Git is so important. You also explored key points in
planning the user experience and user interface known as UX UI. Principles of UX UI are very important for
every application and in the first module you got
a brief recap about wire framing, designing components and
planning the design using Figma. When working on bigger projects,
professional UX and UI designers will cover this part but
it is important that as a developer, you also understand the basic
principles of UX and UI. This is to have easier communication with
designers while working on features for the application. Having covered the principles of UX and UI
and setting up the XCode project, you then proceeded to the next step in the process,
developing the project functionality. For the Little Lemon application,
you started with developing the onboarding flow,
enabling users to create their account. You then worked on setting
the navigation flow. After that, you worked on
fetching data from an API and storing it locally to a mobile
device using core data so that the user can interact with the
application without internet connectivity. You also worked on sorting and filtering
the food items, which brought more complexity to the application but
made it easier to use for the end users. And that concludes this recap
on the capstone project. You should now prepare yourself to
complete the project assessment using the available resources provided.
